About the role
TDK-Lambda Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a leading manufacturer of power supplies, is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our team in Senai, Johor. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving the automation of our production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and innovation in our operations.
What you'll be doing
Industrial automation systems integration including sensors, actuators, pneumatic/ hydraulic system.
Robot programming and maintenance, for pick-and-place, dispensing, tightening, label-pasting, soldering robots.
Design and fabricate die-sets to support component lead cutting and forming process.
Automation equipment/machine setup, programming, trials, process validation, data collection & troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of machine downtime.
Work closely with the process teams or vendors to develop new automation and refine the setups for improved accuracy and efficiency.
What we're looking for
Bachelor Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
Minimum 2 years of working experience as Automation Engineer in related industries.
Hands-on experience with pre-production and assembly line automation.
Able to read and understand electrical diagram and process flowchart.
Hands-on experience with debugging and root cause analysis on automation equipment.
Knowledge of I/O systems and communication protocols, e.g. Modbus, EtherCAT, etc.
Experience with data acquisition and system connectivity, e.g. linking machine data to MES or traceability systems, simple scripting for data logging.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Excel, or statistical tools for analyzing data.
Good communication and written in English and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Possess strong critical thinking skills and resilience in the face of challenges.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
