Job summary

Jabil is seeking an Automation Design Engineer II to design automation projects across mechanical, electronics, electrical and software domains. The role supports the Lead Engineer in design activities and ensures projects meet specifications, budgets and schedules.

The candidate will collaborate with project managers, interpret requirements, and produce design drawings, manuals, and installation guides while ensuring manufacturability and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in automation equipment design and installation.
• Knowledge of EMS industries and standard automation practices.
• Understanding of engineering disciplines relevant to automated equipment (mechanical/electrical/electronics/software).

Responsibilities

• Design automation equipment in mechanical, electronics, electrical, or software domains.
• Collaborate with Project Manager/Engineer to meet timelines and budgets.
• Interpret requirements/specifications for accurate design.
• Ensure manufacturability of designs.
• Interface with assemblers/manufacturers to ensure parts meet design intent.
• Create design drawings, installation manuals and user manuals.
• Log engineering time in the project tracking system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
