Job Title: Automation Engineer – Marine Electrical Systems

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our team, specializing in marine electrical automation systems. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of marine systems, including PLC, SCADA, and bridge navigation systems.



Key Responsibilities:

- Perform troubleshooting and repair of marine electrical and automation systems onboard vessels and offshore platforms.


- Lead or support commissioning activities for new marine automation installations.


- Maintain and calibrate PLC and SCADA systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.


- Diagnose and resolve issues in bridge navigation and vessel automation systems.


- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement system upgrades and improvements.


- Prepare technical reports and documentation for maintenance and commissioning activities.




Requirements:

- Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.


- Around 5 years of hands-on experience in marine automation or electrical systems.


- Strong knowledge of PLC (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA systems.


- Familiarity with bridge navigation systems, marine communication, and control systems.


- Experience in offshore or marine environments is highly .


- Willingness to travel offshore or to shipyards as required.




Skills:

- Knowledge of marine classification standards (e.g., DNV, ABS).


- Experience with HMI programming and system integration.


- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
