Job summary

Inspire QAS Sdn. Bhd. is expanding and seeks an Auditor to conduct product certification audits for water supply products and facilities.

This role covers SPAN requirements, Malaysian standards, and the Inspire QAS Certification Scheme, with responsibilities spanning document evaluation, on-site audits, sampling, reporting, and conformity verification. The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in civil engineering or quality management, 3+ years of relevant experience, and knowledge of

Qualifications

• Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or Quality Management.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in water supply, manufacturing, QA/QC, testing, inspection, certification, or related industry.
• Knowledge of SPAN requirements and water supply products (pipes, fittings, valves, tanks, etc.).
• Experience in product testing, manufacturing processes, factory quality control, product approval, or conformity assessment is an added advantage.
• Completion of ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Course is an added advantage; willing to undergo related ISO training.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17065:2012, ISO 9001:2015, Malaysian Standards and SPAN requirements is preferred.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia and possess own transport.

Responsibilities

• To conduct product certification audits for water supply products and related facilities per SPAN and standards.
• To carry out full audit processes including document evaluation, on-site factory audit, sampling, reporting, and conformity verification.
• To evaluate manufacturers' quality control systems, production processes, inspection and testing activities, traceability, and compliance with product requirements.
• To ensure impartiality, confidentiality, and integrity in auditing and certification activities.
• To liaise with clients, laboratories, technical personnel, and internal committees on audit outcomes and follow-up actions.
• To provide technical guidance and support IQAS certification activities for products within the water supply and SPAN-regulated sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To conduct product certification audits for water supply products and related manufacturing facilities in accordance with applicable SPAN requirements, Malaysian Standards, product standards, and the Inspire QAS Product Certification Scheme.
• To carry out full audit processes including document evaluation, on-site factory audit, product sampling/witnessing, technical reporting, and verification of conformity.
• To evaluate manufacturers' quality control systems, production processes, inspection and testing activities, traceability, and compliance with applicable product requirements.
• To ensure impartiality, confidentiality, and integrity in all auditing and certification activities.
• To liaise with clients, laboratories, technical personnel, and internal certification committees on audit outcomes and necessary follow-up actions.
• To provide technical guidance and support the development of IQAS certification activities for products within the water supply and SPAN-regulated sector.

REQUIREMENTS

• Possess a Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or Quality Management, or other related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the water supply, manufacturing, QA/QC, testing, inspection, certification, or related industry.
• Practical knowledge or working experience with SPAN requirements and water supply products such as pipes, fittings, valves, water tanks, sanitary fittings, water meters, or related products is highly preferred.
• Experience in product testing, manufacturing processes, factory quality control, product approval, or conformity assessment will be an added advantage.
• Completion of an ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Course is an added advantage. Candidates should be prepared to undergo relevant ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17065, product standard, and certification training as required.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17065:2012, ISO 9001:2015, applicable Malaysian Standards and SPAN technical/regulatory requirements is preferred.
• Strong communication, technical assessment, and report-writing skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written).
• Willing to travel within Malaysia and possess own transport.
