Job summary

YH Tan & Associates PLT in Malaysia seeks high-potential Audit Senior candidates. You will lead audit engagements, supervise juniors, and build strong client relationships while applying MFRS/MPERS, ISAs, and ISQM standards.

Proficiency in English and Mandarin, willingness to travel, and a commitment to learning are essential. The firm offers study leave, professional exam support, mentorship from managers and partners, and exposure to PIE engagements across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or partially completed professional qualifications (ACCA, MICPA, ICAEW, CAANZ, CPA Australia).
• Knowledge of MFRS/MPERS, Companies Act 2016, and Income Tax Act.
• Solid understanding of the complete audit process from planning to finalization.
• Audit Senior applicants: experience in PIE audits and familiarity with AOB audit quality and documentation expectations.
• Proven experience in supervising and mentoring junior team members.
• Proficient in written and spoken English; Mandarin proficiency for Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Willingness to travel and ability to work independently.
• Strong knowledge of ISAs, ISQM, and related regulatory requirements; familiarity with audit software (CCH, CaseWare, Audit Express).

Responsibilities

• Execute audit and assurance engagements independently and efficiently with focus on quality and accuracy.
• Assist in planning, performing, and finalizing audits in accordance with approved standards and procedures.
• Analyze financial statements to ensure compliance, reliability, and fairness.
• Identify and document key findings in high-risk areas such as revenue, taxation, and financial instruments.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering a learning culture.
• Review audit documentation and financial statements for compliance with MFRS, MPERS, and ISAs.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing high-value support and communication.
• Stay updated with regulatory changes and share knowledge with peers.
