Job summary

UHY in Malaysia is seeking an Audit Semi Senior to carry out audits in line with the approved plan. The role supports senior staff, reviews internal controls, and evaluates accounting systems for accuracy and efficiency.

Fresh graduates are encouraged, and a degree in accounting plus a professional qualification would be advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office and strong writing skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Pursuing or obtained Professional Accountancy Qualification is an advantage.
• 1–2 years of experience in a professional accounting practice.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal/writing skills.
• Computer literacy with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the audit in accordance with the approved audit plan.
• Essentially takes on the preparer role of the risk based audit process.
• Exercise alertness and diligence in carrying out and completing assigned tasks.
• Provide significant help and support to senior to review internal controls and procedures.
• Analyze and evaluate the accuracy of accounting systems and procedures.
• Review, develop and recommend changes in accounting systems and controls of a business.
• Appropriately prepare audit documentation supporting the work performed.
