Job summary

BOO & ASSOCIATES is seeking an Audit Associate to join our Penang-based team. Based in Bukit Mertajam, you will lead and participate in financial audits, perform risk assessments, and ensure compliance with MPERS/MFRS standards.

You will draft financial statements and management letters with precision while engaging a diverse client base. You will collaborate with senior leadership, mentor junior staff, and stay ahead of evolving auditing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or pursuing ACCA/MICPA).
• Minimum 1 year of external audit experience in a professional services firm.
• Strong knowledge of audit methodologies and MFRS/MPERS standards.
• Proficient in audit software and data analysis.

Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or pursuing professional qualifications like ACCA/MICPA).

Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in external audit within a professional services firm.

Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of audit methodologies, MFRS/MPERS standards, and proficiency in audit software.
