Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA, MICPA) is highly desirable.
• Minimum 5–7 years external audit experience with supervision of junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Steady Practice Management: Oversee and manage a stable audit division of 7 team members, providing gentle guidance, mentorship, and review of their day-to-day work.
• Audit Engagement Oversight: Review statutory audit engagements for a familiar portfolio of SME clients, ensuring compliance with MPERS and ISA at a manageable pace.
• Client Relationship Maintenance: Serve as the primary, trusted point of contact for long-standing SME business owners, addressing basic technical accounting queries and maintaining strong rapport.
• Quality Control: Ensure all audit files and financial statements meet firm standards and statutory regulatory requirements before final partner sign-off.
• Workflow Management: Manage audit timelines and workflow scheduling with a focus on ensuring smooth, stress-free project delivery without the need for unnecessary overtime.
