Job summary

HT & Partners PLT is seeking a detail-oriented Audit Intern to join our team in Johor Bahru. This full-time internship offers hands-on experience delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to a diverse client base.

Your responsibilities will include carrying out substantive audit procedures, preparing working papers, and assisting in drafting audit reports under supervision. Training and guidance will be provided throughout the internship.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or equivalent.

• Prepare audit working papers and supporting documents while ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules, audit leads, and draft audit reports.
• Conduct site visits to clients’ premises for inventory counts, document collection, and other audit-related fieldwork.
• Work closely with senior auditors to understand client-specific risks, internal controls, and operational processes.
• Provide support to the audit team to ensure assignments are completed within the required deadlines.

Job Scopes:

Carry out substantive audit procedures, including testing transactions, confirming bank balances, auditing fixed assets, and reviewing receivables and payables.

Prepare audit working papers and supporting documents while ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Assist in preparing audit schedules, audit leads, and draft audit reports.

Conduct site visits to clients’ premises for inventory counts, document collection, and other audit-related fieldwork.

Work closely with senior auditors to understand client-specific risks, internal controls, and operational processes.

Provide support to the audit team to ensure assignments are completed within the required deadlines.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or equivalent.

No prior working experience is required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, SQL, AutoCount, UBS, or other accounting software will be an added advantage.

Preferably specialized in Accounting, Secretarial, Executive, or Personal Assistant-related functions.

Willing to work in Johor Jaya, Johor Bahru.

Internship duration: 3 to 6 months

Training and guidance will be provided throughout the internship period
