Job summary

WH Leong & Co is offering an internship in audit for diploma/degree students in accounting or finance in Selangor, Malaysia. The role involves assisting seniors, performing basic audit procedures, and communicating with clients to gather documents.

You will gain exposure to bank and receivable/vender reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and fieldwork support within a team. Fresh graduates welcome; internship is ideally 3–6 months.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Good analytical and numerical skills.
• Willing to learn and work as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Internship period of preferably 3–6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist audit seniors in preparing audit working papers and documentation.
• Perform basic audit procedures and checking of accounting records.
• Verify invoices, receipts, bank statements and other supporting documents.
• Assist with bank, debtor, creditor and inventory confirmations/reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and audit schedules.
• Communicate with clients to obtain required documents and information.
• Assist the audit team during fieldwork and other audit assignments.
• Perform other accounting/audit tasks assigned by the Audit Senior or Manager.
