Job summary

SCMS Business Advisory Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Audit Associate (Junior / Semi-Senior / Senior) to plan, execute and complete audits in line with approved standards and the firm's methodology.

You will prepare working papers and schedules, perform fieldwork, and assist in preparing statutory financial statements while ensuring compliance with MFRS/MPERS and the Companies Act 2016. Travel may be required and you will mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
• ACCA/CPA/ICAEW or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years audit experience.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and complete audit assignments per standards.
• Prepare working papers and schedules accurately.
• Perform fieldwork including testing and substantive procedures.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify issues and provide practical recommendations.
• Communicate with clients to obtain information and resolve issues.
• Assist managers and partners in planning engagements.
• Supervise and review junior staff.
• Maintain quality control and stay updated on changes.
