Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Audit Associate across Junior to Senior levels for planning, executing, and completing audits in line with approved standards and the firm’s methodology in Malaysia. The role requires familiarity with MFRS, MPERS, Companies Act 2016 and auditing standards, with responsibilities spanning fieldwork, documentation, and client communication.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accounting/Finance and 1–3 years of audit experience, with strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related professional qualification.
• 1–3 years of relevant audit experience in a public accounting firm.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and complete audit assignments per standards and firm methodology.
• Prepare working papers, schedules and supporting documents accurately.
• Carry out audit fieldwork including testing and substantive procedures.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify audit issues and provide practical recommendations.
• Communicate with clients to obtain information and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist Audit Managers and Partners in planning engagements and deadlines.
• Supervise and coach audit assistants and junior staff.
• Ensure audit files meet quality control policies.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and tax rules.
