Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking an Audit Assistant to support background research, client relationship development during audits, and preparation of working papers. You will assist in performing audit procedures and reporting compliance or risk issues to senior auditors.

The role involves analyzing business and financial risks, implementing process improvements to boost efficiency, and ensuring audits align with laws and professional standards. Malaysian work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Basic to profound understanding of audit concepts and preparation of audit working papers.
• Ability to identify and report audit issues under supervision.
• Familiarity with auditing standards and relevant laws such as the Companies Act.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting background research to understand the client’s business environment and key stakeholders.
• Support development and maintenance of professional relationships with clients during audit activities.
• Prepare and maintain working papers and assist in performing audit procedures.
• Identify and report compliance or risk issues to senior auditors.
• Support analysis of business and financial risks for clients.
• Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance audit efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure audits are performed in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and professional standards.
• Keep updated on auditing standards and financial regulations under guidance from senior auditors.
