Job summary

Grant Thornton Malaysia is recruiting an Audit Associate to join a leading professional services firm with multinational exposure. You will work with a dynamic team delivering high-quality audit services and client exposure in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; audit internship experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of MFRS and auditing standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit fieldwork for statutory and special audit engagements.
• Take ownership of specific audit areas, including risk assessment and substantive testing.
• Prepare audit working papers with proper referencing and adequate audit evidence.
• Assist in planning audit procedures and identifying key audit risks under supervision.

What you'll be doing?

• Perform audit fieldwork for statutory and special audit engagements in accordance with approved auditing standards.
• Take ownership of specific audit areas, including risk assessment, substantive testing, analytical procedures, and documentation.
• Prepare audit working papers, ensure proper referencing, and maintain adequate audit evidence to support conclusions.
• Assist in planning audit procedures and identifying key audit risks with supervision from seniors or managers.
