Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting, finance or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant audit or accounting experience preferred.
• Candidate with audit/accounting firm exposure may have an added advantage.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of accounting and audit software is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, responsible and able to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and carrying out audit assignments for clients.
• Prepare audit working papers and supporting schedules.
• Perform audit procedures and verify financial records and supporting documents.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and audit reports.
• Liaise with clients to obtain necessary documents and information for audit purposes.
• Identify and highlight audit issues to the senior/team leader for further review.
• Ensure audit assignments are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of audit working papers.
• Assist with accounting, tax and other related assignments when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
