Job summary

SC Teh & Co PLT, an established audit firm in Kuala Lumpur, is seeking an enthusiastic Audit Assistant to join our audit team at the Sri Petaling office. This full-time role offers visibility into diverse client portfolios and development of technical audit skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct auditing procedures on financial records, accounting systems and internal controls in accordance with auditing standards.
• Prepare and review audit working papers and ensure documentation is complete and filed.
• Test transactions and account balances to verify accuracy, completeness and authorization.
• Liaise with client staff to obtain necessary information, explanations and supporting documentation.

SC Teh & Co PLT is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Audit Assistant to join our audit team. This is a full-time position based in our Sri Petaling office in Kuala Lumpur. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical audit skills whilst working alongside experienced audit professionals on diverse client portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting audit procedures on financial records, accounting systems and internal controls in accordance with auditing standards
• Preparing and reviewing audit working papers and ensuring all documentation is complete and properly filed
• Testing transactions and account balances to verify accuracy, completeness and authorization
• Liaising with client staff to obtain necessary information, explanations and supporting documentation

What we're looking for

• A relevant professional qualification or currently pursuing Accounting qualifications
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and colleagues
• Ability to work methodically and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Willingness to learn and develop technical audit competencies
