Job summary

CH KOK & ASSOCIATES is seeking a motivated Audit & Tax Assistant to join our growing professional practice in Malaysia. You will assist in audit assignments and tax compliance while learning industry standards.

You should have a diploma/degree in accounting or related field, be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office, and be able to work independently and meet deadlines. This role offers exposure to diverse clients and opportunities to develop technical and professional skills under guidance

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in accounting or related field; ACCA encouraged.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Willing to learn, able to work independently and under pressure.
• Responsible and hardworking, meets deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out audit assignments for companies from various industries.
• Prepare audit working papers and supporting schedules.
• Perform audit procedures and verification of accounting records.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Communicate with clients to obtain audit information and supporting documents.
• Assist in corporate tax compliance and preparation of tax computations.
• Assist in preparing and submitting corporate tax returns and related tax documents.
• Assist with withholding tax, tax estimates and other tax compliance matters.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and documents required for tax compliance.
