A leading financial services organization is searching for an HR Compliance Manager in Miri, Sarawak. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, advising HR staff, and leading audits. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Law or HR and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Job Title: HR Compliance Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and ensure that the HR Division is in compliance with all relevant regulations, legal requirements, and internal processes of the company.
- Advise HR staff on compliance and risk matters related to HR functions by identifying, translating, and communicating the relevant regulations, legal requirements, and internal processes of the company, including procurement-related matters.
- Act as the Audit Liaison Officer in coordinating audits/reviews from regulators, internal/external auditors, and the Regulatory Compliance Unit, as well as attend to their inquiries in a timely manner.
- Perform Quality Assurance Checks such as Risk Control Self-Assessment, Regulatory Requirements Self-Assessment, and Control Self-Assessment on a timely basis to ensure that the controls in the HR Division are effective in mitigating the Division’s risk exposure.
- Ensure other HR staff also perform Quality Assurance Checks accurately and on a timely basis.
- Participate in various company-wide working groups on information and operational risks by attending meetings and disseminating information to HR staff to create awareness on information and operational risks-related matters.
- Manage and handle the HR Division’s Business Continuity Management (BCM), including reviewing the HR's business continuity planning to ensure it is relevant and in place in the event of a crisis, as well as create awareness among HR staff on the Division’s BCP.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Human Resources, or equivalent qualifications.
- At least 2 - 3 years of experience in compliance or a related field.
