Job description
Asst. Staff Engineer/Staff Engineer - DevOps (Kubernetes and Linux System)

Planning and execution of daily administrative tasks including system/performance monitoring, system tuning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, provision of recommended solutions, proactive error prevention, etc., to ensure stability and optimal performance on all systems including incident handling.

Planning and execution of Kubernetes deployments, server installations, maintenance and lifecycle activities.

Coordination and control of external support/service providers.

Creation and maintenance of documentation.

Support problem management process; On Call and Follow-The-Sun model.

What you will bring to the team:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with proven background and experience in cloud technologies, Kubernetes, Red Hat Satellite, Ansible and Puppet. Red Hat Linux and OpenShift certification is a plus.

Proven background and strong experience with planning and implementation of complex Linux-Server and Kubernetes in on-premises and cloud environments. This includes administration, troubleshooting, monitoring and with pro-active measurements in an enterprise environment.

Strong experience with patching, upgrading and performing operating system backups and restores.

Strong scripting skills with experience in Perl, Python, Bash or other scripting languages.

Experience with x86 server hardware and virtualization (VMware vSphere).
