Hong Leong Bank is seeking a detail‑oriented professional to process and evaluate credit card applications in accordance with guidelines. The role ensures high‑quality service, timely decisioning, and controlled credit losses within approved limits.

Responsibilities include document checks, income verification, fraud detection, and adherence to policies. A Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years in related fields are preferred, with CCP/CCE certification a plus. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 1–2 years in credit/financing is preferred.
• Experience in card applications and underwriting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of credit policies and regulatory guidelines is required.

Responsabilidades

• Check completeness of CC application forms and documents.
• Review income documents and verify income accurately.
• Detect fraudulent applications and escalate suspected cases.
• Perform loan approvals within delegated authority and timelines.
• Maintain high booking quality as measured by IL/NCL rates.
• Recommend applications beyond approval limits when needed.
• Verify customers' personal/employment information as required.
• Address customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Report suspicious money laundering activities when observed.
• Adhere to credit policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

If you are looking to excel and make a difference, take a closer look at us… To process and evaluate Credit Cards (CC) applications in accordance to guidelines and procedures, ensuring consistent delivery of high quality services to customers and meeting objectives set by the department while maintaining credit losses at an acceptable level.

Functional (job responsibilities)

• To check completeness of application form and documents


• Review supporting income documents and calculate verified income accurately


• To detect fraudulent application, tampered / suspicious documents and ensure timely fraud escalation to Fraud Management Unit


• Perform loan approval within delegated approving authority limit and required TAT while adhering to existing credit underwriting guidelines and policies


• To maintain good booking quality measured through IL / NCL rates


• To provide recommendation for credit applications beyond the credit officer’s approving authority limit or where deviation approval is required


• Perform verification on customer’s personal and/or employment information where required


• To ensure customer’s complaint is being handled and resolved in a timely and professional manner


• Timely reporting of suspicious money laundering activities. (If any)


• Ensure strict adherence to all credit policies, procedures, BNM guidelines, compliance & etc


• Any other task assigned by superior from time to time

Jobholder Requirements

Education/Qualification

Professional or tertiary qualification or related working experience.

Experience

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce or equivalent; At least 1-2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Special Skills

Having CCP / CCE Certification is an advantage.
