Job description

This role is responsible for developing, validating, and maintaining credit scoring models to enhance risk management strategies and decision-making capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable modelling solutions and ensure compliance with regulatory and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and validate credit scoring models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model performance monitoring.
  • Deploy and manage models using AWS cloud infrastructure and DataRobot AutoML platform.
  • Collaborate with business units to translate credit risk requirements into actionable modeling strategies.
  • Evaluate and execute improvement projects to enhance credit risk management and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct periodical reviews on existing and new projects to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Prepare functional specification documents and participate in system enhancement testing (UAT).
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Ensure all activities comply with internal governance, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in credit evaluation, data science, or risk analytics, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and model development frameworks.
  • Experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, SageMaker, Lambda, EC2).
  • Hands-on experience with DataRobot or similar AutoML platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
