Job description

The Diagnostics Development Hub (DxD Hub) is a public funded diagnostics productization platform that enables efficient and effective development of In-Vitro Diagnostics and Digital Health products for health and economic impact. DxD Hub has cross-cutting, multidisciplinary diagnostics product development capabilities that spans across Molecular Diagnostics, Next Gen Sequencing, Proteomics, Digital Health and Integrated diagnostics. We work with public and private partners, supporting the transformation of the Medtech landscape in Singapore through innovative solutions.

This opening is for a role as an Assistant Director/Senior Assistant Director in DxD Hub’s Corporate Planning and Partnership team, which oversees corporate reporting and strategy and partnership development to enable DxD Hub to deliver on its strategic thrusts and create value and impact to Singapore.

Job Description:

  • Lead the development and alignment of strategies to economic and national agenda, including strengthening linkages with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Translate overarching DxD Hub’s strategies into actionable plans, coordinating across public sector and internal stakeholders and entities to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver accurate reports of operational metrics to the CEO and Division Heads, including supporting on monthly operation reports.
  • Lead business development projects that expand opportunities and strengthen DxD Hub’s value proposition.
  • Support DxD Hub’s leadership in key meeting platforms, including performing divisional reporting and communications functions with stakeholders within A*STAR, governing and advisory boards, as well as other public agencies in the ecosystem.
  • Oversee matters relating to DxD Hub’s governance, including committee appointments and communications with committee members.
  • Set, monitor and report performance and tracking indicators for DxD Hub in alignment with A*STAR and its operating units, and in partnership Finance, HR, and DxD Hub Corporate Services for financial targets. Coordinate and manage budget and resources to drive DxD Hub’s objectives.
  • Review internal operational processes for possible improvements to streamline operations, in alignment with A*STAR best practices.
  • Hires, motivates, develops, and retains key talent.

Job Requirements:

  • A strong educational background in life sciences research or related field such as medical research is preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum 5-8 years working experience. Prior experience in similiar roles will be an advantage.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, familiar with qualitative and quantitative research. Able to identify and contextualise stakeholder issues and manage them appropriately.
  • Able to work outside of organizational boundaries to engage external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Prior experience in fostering partnerships is an advantage.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to deliver results under tight timelines.
  • Able to work in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision, as well as guide team members to achieve their tasks.
  • Self-starter and problem solver who is pro-active, quality conscious and results oriented.
