Job summary

A leading logistics organization seeks a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to manage and monitor warehouse activities effectively. The successful candidate will ensure stock accuracy, oversee warehouse personnel, and maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures. This role requires a Diploma in Supply Chain Management and at least three years of relevant experience in a warehouse environment, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • SAP knowledge is an advantage.
  • Familiar with ERP systems and warehouse management technology.

Job description

Job Purpose

Ensure and monitor all warehouse operation activities including receiving, issuing, transferring stock, deliveries, coordinating stock, documenting warehouse transactions, maintaining records, liaising with vendors/end users regarding receiving/issuing, and overseeing storage of surplus/shortage inventory. Responsible for planning, analyzing, organizing, and controlling inventory in line with MRP system requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Ensure stock accuracy for the respective warehouse/depot with minimal net variance during stock take activities—monthly, mid-year, and year-end, or as required by management.
  2. Ensure the availability of spare parts for operation.
  3. Implement and ensure compliance with the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Assist the Head of Unit (HOU) in developing warehouse staff through training and promoting the company's culture and values.
  4. Prepare, issue, and maintain warehouse reports, including stock aging and inventory reports, as required by management.
  5. Supervise warehouse personnel in daily operations, evaluate performance, and ensure team goals are achieved.
  6. Coordinate delays or variances in Purchase Orders and Delivery Orders with the Purchasing Team.
  7. Assist in optimizing warehouse/depot layout and space requirements in line with SOP on Store Management.
  8. Create Purchase Requisitions to replenish stock and add new inventory in the system as needed.
  9. Coordinate transportation for the distribution of spare parts between warehouses/depot.
  10. Ensure timely submission of Technical Inspection Reports (TIR) by end-users/Quality Assurance.
  11. Review and adjust stock levels and apply Material Requirement Planning (MRP) to support Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), and special projects.
  12. Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department (HOD), Head of Section (HOS), or Head of Unit (HOU).

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years' experience in warehousing and supply chain management.

SAP knowledge is an advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, warehouse management systems, and related technology.
