Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking an experienced information security leader to strengthen AI/ML security controls, oversee vulnerability assessments and risk reviews across networks, operating systems and virtual environments. You will partner with CIO Delivery teams, CISO and ICS Control to safeguard banking technology.

This role requires deep banking security experience and the ability to mentor junior staff, implement risk mitigation measures, and report findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of technology controls for AI models, use cases, applications, and infrastructure systems.
• Test and validate emerging technologies such as machine learning.
• Act as security liaison for all key business and IT projects.
• Perform risk-based reviews aligned with IC S standard requirements.
• Provide advice and support to developers and relevant support teams in designing and implementing risk mitigation and remediation measures.
• Review risks and identify root causes for common vulnerabilities, providing recommendations for sustainable improvements.
• Report risk summaries accurately to various stakeholders.
• Train and mentor junior staff.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Education

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent is preferable.

Training

Minimum 10-12 years’ experience in Information Cyber Security, preferably in Banking and Financial services sector. Out of which:

• At least 5 years or more hands‑on experience on application/ infrastructure risk assessments
• At least 3 years of experience in implementation or management of security tools/ projects

Certifications

• Cisa, CISM or CISSP is preferred
