Come join us as you are. We believe diverse perspectives make us stronger and more innovative. In our global community of people from 100+ countries, we listen to each other, actively contribute and grow together.

Join us in our exciting quest to build the future home.

All about the role:

We’re looking for a Mobile QA Engineer to join our cross-functional product team in Kuala Lumpur, working at the intersection of connected appliances, user experience, and digital innovation.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality of our mobile applications and their interactions with our appliances—through structured testing, explorative testing, and close collaboration with your teammates. While experience in automation is a plus, we’re especially looking for someone with a strong attention to detail, a curious mindset, and a structured approach to manual testing.

What you'll do:

As a QA Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in the team, contributing to the delivery of reliable, intuitive, and high-quality mobile experiences.

You will:

  • Analyze user and system requirements together with product managers, designers, and developers to identify key test scenarios.
  • Design and maintain test strategies, plans, and detailed test cases for new and existing features.
  • Manually test mobile applications, focusing on functionality, usability, and performance across both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Verify app behavior when interacting with connected appliances, ensuring seamless communication and functionality.
  • Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and sanity checks for each release cycle.
  • Log and manage bugs through tools like Jira, providing clear, structured documentation to assist in debugging and resolution.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of the agile team workflow.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and contributing ideas to strengthen our QA practices.
  • Assist with test automation initiatives when applicable, especially in UI automation.

Who You Are:

You’re a detail-oriented, curious, and proactive QA professional with a foundation in manual mobile testing. You care about user experience, communicate clearly with teammates, and enjoy exploring apps and systems to ensure they perform at their best.

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on mobile applications (iOS and Android).
  • Confident in exploratory, functional, and regression testing, with a structured approach to test planning and execution.
  • Experienced with manual testing of systems that involve both apps and physical device interactions (IoT or connected appliances a plus).
  • Familiar with test management and defect tracking tools like Jira.
  • Comfortable using tools like Postman for API testing.
  • Aware of test design techniques and able to document test cases clearly and concisely.
  • Some exposure to test automation (especially UI) is a bonus.
  • Understanding of mobile dev environments (Java/Kotlin/Swift) is helpful but not required.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Where you will be:

While embracing a hybrid work model, your main location will be our office in Petaling Jaya. You will be part of a dynamic international team where English is the natural language.

Benefit highlights:

  • Hybrid working arrangements.
  • Discounts on Electrolux products and services.
  • Medical & Hospitalization coverage.
  • Dental & Optical.

As part of Electrolux, we will continuously invest in you and your development. There are no barriers to where your career could take you.
