A leading investment bank in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate for Regulatory Reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting to regulatory bodies, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. This role requires strong analytical skills and a degree in Accountancy or Finance. Experience in financial reporting within the banking industry is advantageous.

Job description

Associate/Senior Associate, Regulatory Reporting

Responsible for the preparation and submission of financial and statistical data to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), Bursa Malaysia, and other regulatory bodies.

Ensure timely submission of returns, data completeness, integrity, and accuracy in financial and statistical reporting to various regulatory bodies.

Conduct analytical review of data and draw valid conclusions.

Demonstrate full understanding of reporting requirements according to regulatory guidelines and accounting standards.

Stay current with statutory rules and regulations and determine the impact from changes to the rules and regulations.

Assist in ad-hoc projects as assigned, including the implementation of new or enhanced systems/controls to ensure the integrity and completeness of financial and statistical reporting.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum a Degree qualification in Accountancy or Finance. Possessing 1-2 years of related working experience in financial reporting and analysis would be an added advantage.

Preferably, with exposure in the banking industry or an accountancy firm responsible for audit work of financial institutions.

Meticulous with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

A team player and able to work independently.

Pleasant personality with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient and strong in Microsoft Office applications.

Have initiative and the ability to work and deliver high performance within deadlines.
