We are currently hiring an Associate Reinsurance Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate and book Reinsurance Technical Accounts and Claim Advice.
  • Ensure closings and documents are received timely and are in order to meet quarter closing requirements.
  • Provide prompt feedback/response on technical issues raised by Hannover Re clients, brokers, underwriters, or other stakeholders to ensure all bookings are correct.
  • Follow up on missing accounts diligently to close open items.
  • Monitor accounts with unresolved concerns for underwriters’ meetings/ discussions with clients/ brokers to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
  • Perform forecast & estimation for assigned portfolios and analyze portfolio performance.
  • Review treaty premiums and claims quarterly, including true-up analysis for accuracy.
  • Review, comment, and follow up on exception reports provided by FA-GRO and correct bookings in SAP FS-RI.
  • Perform credit control tasks (FS-CD) and follow up on old outstanding balances, unmatched payments/receipts.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriters and claims specialists to provide portfolio information.
  • Take on key user roles as needed.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Supervisor/CFO.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance industry.
  • Experience working with diverse, multicultural teams.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for constant stakeholder interaction.
