Job summary

Forvis Mazars Asia Pacific Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a motivated professional to join the DP (KL) Quality & Risk Management team. You will support APAC client onboarding, including data verification, independence checks and KYC reviews to assess risk and identity verification.

Responsibilities include handling KYC/AML screening, reviewing high-risk clients (PEPs, risky jurisdictions), and maintaining meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in data verification, client onboarding, KYC risk management or related compliance operations.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated, independent professional to join our DP (KL) Quality & Risk Management team. The successful candidate will support various client onboarding activities across the APAC region, including data verification, independence checks and Know-Your-Client (KYC) checks.

• Perform data verification and validation activities in accordance with established procedures and requirements
• Support client onboarding activities including performing independence checks , conducting thorough Know-Your-Client (KYC) checks to verify their identity and assess their risk level, including money laundering risk.
• Assist in the review of high-risk clients, including politically exposed persons (PEPs) and clients from high-risk jurisdictions.
• Identify and elevate potential issues, discrepancies or compliance concerns arising from KYC, AML and other risk screening activities.
• Work closely with APAC member firms and internal stakeholders to obtain information and clarifications required for data verification, client onboarding, KYC and independence check processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of all reviews and assessments.
• Ensure assigned tasks are completed in accordance with established quality standards and timelines.
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Business or relevant discipline.
• Candidates with prior experience in data verification, client onboarding, KYC risk management, compliance or related operational functions will have an added advantage
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Possess good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle work with accuracy.
• Ability to learn quickly and handle assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
