Job Description

Essential Requirements:

  1. Applicants must possess a PhD degree in a related discipline;
  2. Track record in research, ability to contribute to the research strengths of the discipline, through high-quality international publications and/or attracting competitive external research grants in the related field;
  3. Evidence of high quality teaching ability;
  4. Ability to supervise undergraduate and/or postgraduate students for final year/research projects;
  5. Outstanding English communication skills;
  6. Indication of the capacity to engage as a member of committees for the university community;
  7. Ability to contribute to administrative duties and governance at the school, faculty, or university level;
  8. Ability to work positively and cooperatively with staff and students;
  9. Minimum of 10 years of working experience.
Specialization in Chinese Studies
  • Chinese linguistics (Chinese grammar or applied linguistics)
  • International Chinese Education (Teaching Chinese as a second language)
  • Chinese literature (Modern and Classic)
  • Chinese history
  • Chinese philosophy
