Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in project coordination, production, project management or team coordination.
  • Experience supporting PC, console or live-ops game projects is preferred.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills for multiple priorities.
  • Proficient with productivity and project-management tools (Office, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
  • Ability to prepare schedules, trackers and production reports.

Job description

Keywords Studios is looking for an organised and proactive Associate Producer to support the delivery of high-quality game-development projects on time and within budget.

Working closely with the Producer or Lead Producer, you will help coordinate multidisciplinary development teams, maintain project schedules, track deliverables, facilitate communication, and identify risks or dependencies that could affect production.

This role is well suited to someone with early production or project-coordination experience who is looking to develop their career within the video game industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Producer or Lead Producer in the planning, coordination and delivery of the assigned development project.
  • Assist the team in delivering a high-quality product on time and within the agreed budget and scope.
  • Help organise, execute and monitor project activities across one or more areas of development.
  • Prepare, maintain and monitor development schedules, task boards, project documentation and production reports.
  • Track progress against agreed milestones and follow up with team members on outstanding tasks, dependencies and deliverables.
  • Facilitate and chair regular team or sub-team meetings, ensuring that actions and decisions are clearly documented and communicated.
  • Maintain effective communication between development disciplines, project leadership, clients and other business stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation, review and submission of milestone deliverables to clients and internal management.
  • Identify production risks, blockers and resource constraints, and escalate them to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Help remove impediments affecting the development team and support the resolution of cross-discipline dependencies.
  • Work with team leads to establish clear priorities, goals and expectations.
  • Help monitor team capacity, workload and productivity, highlighting potential issues before they affect delivery.
  • Support the onboarding and integration of new team members.
  • Contribute to retrospectives, project reviews and continuous improvements to production processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information within the relevant production and project-management tools.
  • Promote open communication, collaboration and a positive working environment across the team.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in project coordination, production, project management or team coordination.
  • Previous experience supporting or coordinating a PC, console or live-operations game project is preferred.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of productivity and project-management tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Jira, Hansoft, Confluence or Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain schedules, task trackers, meeting notes, status reports and other production documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams across areas such as art, design, engineering, QA and audio.
  • Ability to identify potential risks, dependencies and problem areas and raise them with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Proactive, adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Able to balance quality, scope, schedule, cost and team considerations when supporting production decisions.
  • Able to work independently while maintaining regular communication with project leadership.
  • A collaborative and supportive approach to working with team members and stakeholders.
  • An enthusiasm for video games and a good understanding of the PC and console gaming market.
