Job description

Position: Associate Marketing Manager APAC

Location: Johor, Malaysia

Summary:

The associate marketing manager is responsible for executing the brand marketing strategies and plans under the supervision of the marketing manager. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and solid marketing expertise to achieve sales, share, profitability, and consumer KPI targets.

The associate marketing manager must have analytical skills to interpret data and translate insights into business actions related to advertising, promotion, product/packaging innovations, pricing, retail programs, and other initiatives impacting brand profitability and market share.

Major Duties:

  • Brand Marketing and Business Planning: Assists in developing consumer and customer insight-driven brand programs. Supports the creation of long- and short-term growth plans aligned with marketing strategies.
  • Marketing Execution: Implements annual marketing plans to meet sales, profit, share, and KPI targets. Ensures excellence in:
  • - Product and packaging innovations to sustain brand growth;
  • - Advertising and media planning and deployment;
  • - Agency management for advertising, media, PR, digital/social media, and promotions;
  • - Social media management via agencies;
  • - Budget management, including POs, invoices, and spend tracking;
  • - Developing marketing concepts and innovations;
  • - Managing brand portfolio for optimal product types, pricing, and channels;
  • - Conducting market, consumer, and customer analysis to inform strategies;
  • - Performing ROI analysis to optimize marketing efficiency;
  • - Personal development planning in collaboration with managers.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields
