A leading company in the industrial sector is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for their Asia operations. The role involves managing general accounting activities, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and leading a team. Candidates should have a strong background in accounting with leadership experience, and proficiency in financial systems like SAP and Oracle. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic environment.
You are responsible for managing the general accounting activities for Asia. In this position, you will support the planning, organizing, reporting, process improvement, and adherence to controls. You will need to ensure accurate and timely transactions with efficient and effective processes related to general accounting. You will report directly to General Ledger Accounting Manager, Asia Pacific.
Supervise month end closing activities, review account analysis & bank reconciliation and prepare the internal management reporting while acting as liaison for all internal and external audits.
Work cross functionally with IT to ensure primary financial systems are functioning accurately to meet business needs and enforce to policy.
Design, development, and adhere to key performance indicators while promoting efficient and effective and standardized processes in all general accounting areas.
Lead all aspects of the development, implementation, and adherence to all financial policies and procedures to ensure a strong business control environment.
Attend to issues and queries from various departments.
Improve the engagement and develop the team members. Provide support/guidance and training to subordinates.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent education with 7+ years of functional experience and knowledge.
Min 2-3 years of experience as people manager
Strong PC skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office products, SAP and Oracle.
Knowledge in QAD is an added advantage.
Good proficiency in English & Mandarin Language
