About The Role

Responsible for investment and unit-linked product accounting activities.

  1. Perform daily investment accounting processing in accordance with Business Process Manuals and applicable accounting policies & standards, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  2. Maintain high-quality documentation for investment accounting processes in accordance with Business Process Manuals.
  3. Respond to investment accounting inquiries from Group and Local Finance and Investment Operations teams, and other relevant stakeholders promptly and satisfactorily.
  4. Support Group and Local Finance and Investment Operations teams, and other relevant stakeholders on daily investment accounting matters, projects, and initiatives.
  5. Assess, recommend, and implement improvements in investment accounting processes and systems to enhance effectiveness and efficiency, including interdependencies with upstream/downstream processes and system updates in Business Process Manuals.
Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Accountancy or related fields.
  • Internationally Recognized Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CFA, etc.).

Professional experience:

  • Over 1 year of investment accounting experience in multi-national insurance, asset management, and/or unit trust companies.
  • Experience in a shared services or similar environment providing investment operations and/or accounting services to external/internal stakeholders.

Specific Business Knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge of investment products (fixed income, equities, funds, structured products, asset-backed securities, derivatives, money market, etc.), including their investment characteristics and accounting treatments.
  • Knowledge of control environments in an investment operations and/or accounting setting.
  • Experience with investment accounting and/or operations systems (PORTIA, SAP FAM, PAM, HIPORT, etc.) and system architecture.
