Job Overview:
The Associate Installation Analysis Engineer will be supporting FEED/EPCIC projects with design and installation engineering/analysis activities related SURF activities such as rigid & flexible pipeline installation, umbilical installation, spools/jumper, Risers, Subsea structure installations and other subsea installation analysis related tasks in a junior level. This position is within the Installation Analysis team and requires someone who is analytically minded with strong engineering skills to perform numerically intensive calculations. Learns the content and application of relevant industry codes, standards, guidelines, design methods and analysis.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural / Mechanical) from recognized Institution
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Entry Level position or less than 3 years’ experience related to Installation Analysis Engineering for Offshore/Subsea projects.
- Exposure to analysis packages for Subsea Installation Analysis (Eg. OrcaFlex, OFFPIPE, Pipelay)
- Good working skill with Engineering Software such as Mathcad/Mathcad prime and basic working knowledge of AutoCAD,
- Good knowledge in programing and scripting skills (Python or VBA) is an advantage.
- This role involves short duration overseas travel to vessels to support project at offshore locations so candidates may need to show a willingness and flexibility.

Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering analyses (Static/Quasi-static/Dynamic), and calculations on basic engineering tasks related to SURF Installation Engineering.
- Apply knowledge and skills to complete routine assignments under close supervision and mentoring.
- Prepare clear and accurate engineering calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures.
- Organize own work to meet deadlines set by others.
- Assist senior engineers with preparation of technical reports, design calculations, engineering analysis and interface with third parties including subcontractors and verification bodies.
- Required to attend and prepare for project progress meetings and departmental meetings.
- Gain an understanding of the project scope of work, specifications, schedule and all inter-discipline requirements.
- Keep the Area Lead/ Lead Engineer apprised of all activities, progress and concerns.
- Develop an awareness of costs related to own work.
- Develop basic understanding of McDermott's business and customers it serves.
- Develop basic knowledge of McDermott's business units and interactions including engineering, fabrication and marine functions.
- Develop advanced skills in use of standard productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understand and apply standards and procedures.
