The Role:

1. Assist in designing a strategic framework, including assessing the transition block size and recommending the best transition approach.
2. Assist in determining the business strategy post-IFRS 17 implementation, including:

• Analyzing differences in profitability measurement under current and IFRS 17 reporting standards.
• Analyzing IFRS 17 profit emergence patterns and recommending enhancements.
• Designing the Transition Model and conducting Impact Assessments.
• Determining the business strategy after IFRS 17 implementation.
• Monitoring industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats, and technologies to understand risks and safeguard the company.
• Highlighting potential concerns/risks and sharing best risk management practices.
• Performing other related responsibilities.

The Person:

• Recognized tertiary qualification in Statistics, Maths, or Actuarial Studies.
• Minimum 1-2 years of actuarial-related experience.
• Passed some actuarial exams from the Faculty of Actuaries (Scotland), Institute of Actuaries (England, Australia), or Society of Actuaries (US).
• Knowledge of professional actuarial standards and code of conduct.
• Understanding of IFRS 17 reporting requirements.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Fresh graduates with good results may be considered.
• High integrity, accountability, teamwork attitude.
• Proactive, adaptable, and open to change.
