The Role:

  • Assist in implementing and setting up new IFRS 17 reporting requirements. Ensure consistent application across GELM, GETB, and GEGM. Document new processes and procedures thoroughly.
  • Help design a strategic framework, including assessing transition options and recommending the best approach.
  • Support the development of Prophet model architecture for IFRS 17 calculations.
  • Conduct UAT on the Prophet model and sub-ledger outputs.
  • Stay informed on industry trends related to regulatory compliance, emerging threats, and technological advancements to understand risks and enhance safeguards.
  • Identify potential risks and share best practices in risk management.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as needed.

The Person:

  • Recognized tertiary qualification in Statistics, Mathematics, or Actuarial Studies.
  • Minimum of 2 years of actuarial-related experience.
  • Passed some actuarial exams from the Faculty of Actuaries (Scotland), Institute of Actuaries (England), Institute of Actuaries (Australia), or Society of Actuaries (US).
  • Adherence to professional actuarial standards and conduct.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fresh graduates with strong academic results in accountancy may be considered.
  • High integrity, accountability, and a positive team attitude.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and open to embracing change.
