The Role:
  1. Oversee daily operations of the Payment Section, including supervising and administering payment processes. Organize workload distribution to ensure timely payments.
  2. Verify payment requests and supporting documents for accuracy and validity.
  3. Supervise cheque usage and facsimile signature machine controls.
  4. Check IBG/FPX e-payment data files, upload into OCBC Velocity, and coordinate with departments on missing data or reports.
  5. Liaise with relevant parties to ensure payment transactions are complete before handover.
  6. Update payment cancellations and expiries promptly in the system.
  7. Address payment-related queries from stakeholders.
  8. Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating SOPs for the Payment Section; continuously improve payment processes.
  9. Compile monthly payment statistics.
  10. Participate in BCP, DR, and UAT activities as required.
  11. Support team building and provide coaching and training to subordinates.
  12. Conduct annual Customer Satisfaction Surveys for the Payment Section.
  13. Participate in finance-related projects.
  14. Assist managers and department heads as needed.
  15. Perform other relevant functions as assigned.
  16. Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory compliance, emerging threats, and technologies to manage risks effectively.
  17. Identify potential risks and share best practices in risk management.
The Person:
  • Possess a recognized tertiary qualification in Statistics, Maths, or Actuarial Studies.
  • Open to fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience, preferably in payment operations.
  • Familiar with computerized accounting environments.
  • Good time management, detail-oriented, meticulous, and numerate.
  • Sense of urgency and customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
  • High integrity, accountable, and positive attitude towards teamwork.
  • Proactive in improving processes and adaptable to change.
