About the client:

Our client is one of the world's leading logistics providers with a significant presence in Malaysia. They specialize in integrated logistics services, including freight forwarding, supply chain management, and contract logistics. They are seeking a project manager with experience in warehouse/3PL operations to coordinate and execute projects, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery. A technical background, along with PMP/Prince II certification, is preferred for managing stakeholders and project documentation.

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking an Associate Executive - Contract Logistics/SCM, Customer Service. The role involves ensuring compliance with company policies, preparing shipping documentation, managing import/export procedures, and liaising with clients, customs, and transporters. Good communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office are required, with preference given to candidates with relevant experience, SAP knowledge, and IATA DG certification.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure all paperwork is in order and complies with company policies.
  2. Prepare shipping documentation such as Shipping Instructions, Packing Lists, Invoices, Certificates of Origin, Bills of Lading, Dangerous Goods forms (IATA & IMDG), and Pre-alerts to customers.
  3. Manage import and export procedures.
  4. Handle customs requirements and documentation such as ZB1, ZB2, K8, K2, and K1.
  5. Liaise with port management, request CMR (Container Movement Request).
  6. Communicate with customers and clients, resolving any complaints.
  7. Coordinate order management and fulfillment issues with customers.
  8. Liaise with transporters, shipping lines, air freight, ocean freight, and freight forwarders.
  9. Monitor and coordinate transportation and trucking schedules.
  10. Maintain meticulous records of shipment information.
  11. Perform data entry and other assigned tasks.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum SPM / Diploma / Degree holder.
  2. Preferably 1-2 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding.
  3. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  4. Good communication skills in English and Bahasa, with strong customer service skills.
  5. Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
  6. IATA DG certification is an advantage.
  7. Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines and multitask.
  8. Capable of working under stress and adaptable to change.
  9. Self-initiated team player.
