Job summary

Sandisk is seeking an Equipment Engineering professional for our Penang facility to perform machine maintenance and drive process improvements. You will document procedures, analyze data, and lead projects to enhance yield, quality, and productivity while collaborating with multiple teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, plus experience with QC tools and data analysis. Strong communication skills and English proficiency are essential for cross-functional work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or above in engineering or mechanical engineering is required.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving ability.
• Familiar with QC tools and quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Document generation and update (FMEA/Training material/SOP/WI).
• Investigate line abnormalities, quality issues and yield loss; take timely action.
• Lead KIP projects on machine performance, cost reduction, yield, quality, capacity and productivity.
• Collaborate with Process and NPI teams on machine and product items.
• Machine/tooling buy-off and standardization.
• Support customer audits and implement actions.
• Prepare 8D and presentations for QAF/RMA cases.
• Assist other function teams on key projects.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Machine troubleshooting and perform preventive maintenance.
• Documents (FMEA/Training material /SOP/WI) generation, update and preventive maintenance.
• Line abnormal, quality issue, yield loss investigation and in time action taken.
• Lead KIP projects on machine performance improvement , cost reduction, yield, quality, capacity and productivity improvements.
• Work with Process and NPI team onmachine and product related items.
• Machine/tooling buy-off and standardization.
• Follow up customer audit and action implementation
• Prepare 8D and presentation for QAF/RMA cases.
• Support other function teams for key projects.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor or above in engineering or mechanical engineering.

Preferred:

• 2+ year working experience in Equipment engineering process or related.

Skills:

• Machine/ mechanical knowledge in design and optimization.
• Expertized in data analysis, and problem solving
• Be good at QC skill, such as 7QC tools, MSA, SPC, 8D report, DOE etc.
• Familiar with reporting/data analysis software.(PPT, excel, JMP, AUTOCAD…)
• Detail and action oriented, self-started, ability to work independently and to deliver high quality solutions.
• Ability to work effectively with multi-functional team member, with good communication skills.
• Good verbal and written in English.
