Summary
This role is to lead and oversee supply chain projects to be implemented in the APAC region, including but not limited to steering project execution (>€2M), controlling project activities, and providing support at country and local levels. The position acts as a docking point and interface between the COE and regions, requiring strong leadership, project management skills, and technical expertise in asset and capex management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as project leader for supply chain projects exceeding €2M across the APAC region, establishing project management methodologies, managing tools, budgets, and processes to ensure efficient execution and delivery.
- Supervise and support other projects below €2M through collaboration with country and local project teams to drive successful outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular reviews of capex projects to identify risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Develop relationships with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to support project execution and mitigate risks.
- Compile and promote best practices from various plant operations to support safety, quality, and efficiency improvements. Assist in developing and implementing maintenance plans.
- Prepare and present periodic reports to senior management on project status, progress, spending, and performance.
- Support equipment integrity and engineering controls related to process safety at the regional level.
- Assist in the scale-up of new products and coordinate with business units for project evaluations.
- Develop a 5-year capacity planning strategy aligned with Brenntag Essential's business strategies.
- Drive and facilitate Lean Six Sigma initiatives across the region.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in capital project management, asset management, or related fields, with a proven track record managing large-scale projects (>€2M).
- Strong financial skills for managing budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for stakeholder collaboration.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.
- Effective project management skills to handle multiple projects and priorities.
- Good command of English; fluency in Chinese is a plus.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate across geographies.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
