POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Associate, Customer Service Support (Customer and Pricing Master Data Administrator) manages customer data and the pricing process in SAP and SFDC ensuring business support as well as data consistency and completeness through appropriate updating and standardization of data. Person on this position coordinates activities with other departments e.g. sales representatives and the back office, ensuring high level of quality data creation and maintenance in a quick and effective manner, consistent across the organization and with global standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure and maintain comprehensive customer master data in specific systems (SFDC, SAP, etc.). This includes accurately inputting and updating contact details, account information, and customer - specific regulatory compliance data relevant to medical devices.
  • Set up and continuously update pricing master data, based on approvals. Ensure all price lists are up-to-date in line with market and regulatory changes.
  • Regularly review and clean master data to eliminate duplicates, correct errors, and enhance data quality. Cross - reference data from multiple sources, validate against industry standards and internal guidelines, and enforce data governance policies.
  • Updates customer master and price master data in SAP by ensuring that the accuracy of the provided documentation is verified.
  • Able to proficiently utilize in-house system and Excel / Word application, ensuring accurate and timely creation and modification of customer accounts and price registrations.
  • Follow established procedures and escalate any identified deviations for guidance and resolution.
  • Proposes and reports improvements in processes, as well as reports ideas for improving the SAP and Salesforce functionality.
  • Participates in the data management process and in activities related to updating / cleaning data.
  • Acts as the first point of contact for inquiries / errors related to customer and pricing data.
  • Prepares cyclical reports and reports on demand according to business need and in a timely manner.
  • Update database, customer’s repository and carry out analysis of data as and when required
  • Ensures data compliance with control requirements, internal processes and compliance requirements.
  • Completes AFCM controls relating to business area.
  • Any other duties or projects as requested by the Line Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

Education:

  • University degree or equivalent.

Languages:

  • Business level Chinese / Mandarin (Traditional) and English speaking, reading and writing skills

Experience/Professional Requirement*:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in master data management, preferably in the medical device industry. Deep understanding of the industry's data requirements, regulatory environment, and market dynamics is crucial.
  • Solid understanding of customer and pricing data management principles and best practices, with the ability to apply them in a highly regulated and competitive industry. Knowledge of medical device product cataloging, classification, and pricing models is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to assess situation.
  • Analytical ability and logical thinking.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Multi-tasking abilities and able to execute with speed.
  • Patience when handling tough cases.
  • Good prioritization & organization skills.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy, vital for regulatory compliance, patient safety, and business success in the medical device industry.

  • Ability to work on China working hours and flexible to handle after - hours and weekend emergency situations.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines
  • Fluent in both spoken and written Chinese and English. Clear communication of complex data concepts in Chinese is essential for interacting with Chinese - speaking stakeholders, and English for cross - border communication within the multinational company.
  • Experience of managing master data processes in a complex ERP system and business environment and intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
  • Computer/Technical Literacy: Computer-literate performer with software proficiency covering a variety of applications. Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
