Job summary

NCS Solutions in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Component Engineer to support product development through careful component selection and compliance documentation. You will work independently after onboarding and contribute to sustainable design practices while handling electrical and electro-mechanical components.

The role requires 1.5–2 years of relevant experience, a engineering degree, and willingness to work in shifts and overtime when required. Training provided and base benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 1.5 - 2 years of demonstrated working experience in Component Engineering.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision after onboarding.
• Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and environmentally responsible component selection.
• Good knowledge of electrical and electromechanical components, including specifications and performance.
• Working knowledge of electrical and electromechanical engineering principles for component selection.

Responsibilities

• Documents selection of components/subassemblies to deliver required performance and compliance specifications.
• Interacts with other engineering disciplines to define component requirements and/or modify selections.
• Works under supervision to analyze designs and recommend optimal component selections.
• Read design plans, tolerances, and specifications for products and machinery.
• Exercises judgment in recommending suppliers and methods for solutions.
