Job Purpose

To adjudicate, review, and process guarantee letter cases for medical policyholders.

The Job

1. To issue initial and final guarantee letters in accordance with Company’s requirements and guidelines, accurately and timely.
2. To support Call Centre Officers in handling technical/medical issues.
3. To handle/resolve cases of fee disputes.
4. To assist Care Manager in handling cases where medical necessity is questionable and decide on the course of action in consultation with medical officers.
5. To attend to any other tasks assigned from time to time.
6. Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
7. Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats, and technologies to understand the risks and better safeguard the company.
8. Highlights any potential concerns/risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Our Requirements

1. Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related discipline, such as State Registered Nurse or Medical Assistant, with 2-3 years of experience in post-basic and management.
2. Not less than 2-3 years working experience in a hospital environment or managed care and medical insurance.
3. Knowledge in medical terminology, contract provisions, MMA coding, and Policy interpretation and application.
4. Knowledge of current healthcare delivery systems, hospital patient management, and billing systems.
5. Initiative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
6. High level of integrity, accountability, and a good attitude towards teamwork.
7. Takes initiative to improve the current state of affairs and is adaptable to embrace new changes.
