Qualifications

Work Location:Southkey, 80150 Johor Bahru, Johor

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for preparation of partial/ full sets of account activities meeting the clients.
  • To prepare/ submit SST/GST return with the authorities.
  • Assist in timely and accurate preparation of management accounts.
  • Assist in timely and accurate compilation of unaudited financial statements.
  • Review current workflow and recommend solutions to address weaknesses or improve efficiency, in collaboration with other departments where appropriate.
  • Conducting financial statement audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, schedules, and reports.
  • Conducting tax planning and compliance activities, including the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Assisting in the research and interpretation of tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and timely compliance.
  • Participating in client meetings and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Staying updated on the latest industry trends, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of working experience in the related field; fresh graduate is welcome to apply.
  • Has basic knowledge in accounting standards and policies - IASs,FRSs & GAAP and tax laws
  • Has basic knowledge in using professional accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as a team player
  • Structured, proven ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and achieve results under pressure.
