Job summary

Kwantas Engineering Division seeks an Assistant Manager, Workshop to oversee daily workshop operations, maintaining heavy machinery and plantation vehicles for uninterrupted plantation work. The role requires leading a team, ensuring safety, and driving efficiency and improvements.

Applicants should have a Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience in heavy vehicle or machinery maintenance within plantation settings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant workshop experience in workshop operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily workshop operations for maintenance and repair of heavy machinery and plantation vehicles.
• Supervise mechanics, welders and workshop staff to ensure safe, timely and quality work.
• Plan and monitor preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and costs.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and maintenance records for auditing.
• Provide technical support to field operations and drive continuous improvement.
