Assistant Vice President, Vendor and Contract Management

Responsible for overseeing the operations of the Bank’s vendor relationships. This includes creating and implementing policies and procedures for managing vendor relationships, as well as maintaining records of these relationships. Additionally, the vendor management person may be responsible for conducting due diligence on potential vendors, negotiating contracts, and monitoring vendor performance.

Vendors are responsible for providing goods and services on time, within budget, and meeting the quality and safety standards of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Bank’s outsourcing arrangement, including reviewing the outsourcing checklist and liaison with Group Risk Management and Group Compliance.
  • Annual review and update the outsourcing register and perform gap analysis when necessary.
  • Develop and sustain long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors.
  • Meet with suitable vendors to access their products, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing, and communicate any product or service-related concerns.
  • Conduct research on available vendors to determine which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality.
  • Monitor the overall cost-saving initiative.
  • Ensure vendor selection is in accordance with the Bank’s policy.
  • Conduct interviews with new vendors and inform approved vendors of their responsibilities and obligations.
  • Establish standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendors.
  • Evaluate the current vendor management program and identify ways to improve it.
Requirements
