Job summary

A leading financial institution seeks an AVP for Head Office Compliance Review to oversee the Compliance Monitoring and Testing program, conduct compliance reviews, and provide recommendations to improve internal controls. The successful candidate will assist in report preparation and respond to ad-hoc requests to ensure alignment with regulations across all business units.

  • Support the formulation and update of the annual Compliance Review Plan.
  • Assist in monitoring the progress and adjustments to the Compliance Review Plan.
  • Conduct compliance reviews per plan or requests from management or regulators.
  • Supervise compliance monitoring, review, and reporting activities.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data for regulatory compliance.
  • Provide recommendations to improve internal controls and compliance awareness.
  • Assist in preparing reports for Senior Management and the Board.
  • Attend to ad-hoc requests from the Head of GCM.

Job description

AVP position for Head Office Compliance Review

To support the Head of Group Compliance Monitoring (GCM) in overseeing the Bank’s Compliance Monitoring and Testing program. Responsible for ensuring the timely execution of the Compliance testing program to assess compliance with regulations and policies across all business/support units within the Bank.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the formulation and update of the annual Compliance Review Plan in collaboration with the Head of GCM.
  • Assist in monitoring the progress and making adjustments to the Compliance Review Plan as needed.
  • Conduct compliance reviews according to the plan or as requested by Senior Management, the Board, or Regulators.
  • Supervise compliance monitoring, review, and reporting activities, including independent validation of corrective actions related to compliance issues.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and business decision-making.
  • Provide constructive recommendations to Business/Support Units to improve internal controls and raise compliance risk awareness.
  • Assist the Head of GCM in preparing periodic reports on review statuses and outcomes for Senior Management and the Board.
  • Attend to ad-hoc requests and other related functions as deemed necessary by the Head of GCM.
