Job summary

Citi in Penang is seeking a Cash & Trade Proc Mgr to ensure accurate, timely processing and to manage a busy Trade Operations team within Transaction Services. The role focuses on delivering high-quality service to internal and external clients while guiding on Citi's trade solutions.

You will lead processes for guarantees, supplier finance, export LCs/collections; conduct client service reviews, regulatory and documentary training, and promote Citi’s digital capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/University degree in Banking, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or Management.
• About 5-8 years' experience in Customer Service, preferably in Trade.
• Excellent communication in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Point of Contact at Product level for trade queries.
• Conduct Regular Service Review with clients to discuss Volumes, Queries, Exceptions, Digital capabilities and Regulatory clearance.
• Conduct Regulatory and Documentary training programs for clients to understand Regulations and Bank documentary requirement.
• Marketing Digital capabilities and guiding the client on online services.
• Liaising with Citi’s global network of branches to collate information for centralization of facilities to our regional trade hubs.
• Presenting information on Citi’s trade offerings for RFPs / proposals.
• Negotiation of guarantee facility documentation and guarantee texts.

Job description

The Cash & Trade Proc Mgr. is an intermediate level role responsible for ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time in coordination with the Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to manage a Cash and Trade Operations team; apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge to reach solutions and ensure deliverables are completed efficiently and accurately.

This is a role within the TTS Operations team based in the Penang CSC. The successful Trade Client Action Partner (TCAP) candidate will be required to manage Client Service Requests in a busy and dynamic environment and to ensure all day-to-day functions are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. Resolves complex inquiries, manages escalations, and supports live transactions. Guides clients on products and digital tools, ensuring Citi's service standards are consistently met.

Responsibility for a number of core areas:

• Support across Trade products, including, Guarantees, Supplier Finance and Export LCs/Collections including ownership of underlying issues requiring remediation
• Reviewing of processes to provide improvements and reduce issues experienced by clients
• Preparation of reports and Stats on trade products
• Assist on negotiations of the structuring of guarantee facilities
• Liaising with Citi’s global network of branches to collate information for centralization of facilities to our regional trade hubs
• Presenting information on Citi’s trade offerings for RFPs / proposals
• Negotiation of guarantee facility documentation and guarantee texts

The primary focus of the job is to provide a high-quality service to our internal and external customers by ensuring that our training levels, knowledge and understanding of the product offering is to a uniformly high standard and ensure that any errors are noted and corrective action taken.

Key responsibilities and qualifications:

• Point of Contact at Product level for trade queries.
• Conducting Regular Service Review with clients to discuss Volumes, Queries, Exceptions, Digital capabilities and Regulatory clearance.
• Conduct Regulatory and Documentary training programs for clients to understand Regulations and Bank documentary requirement.
• Marketing Digital capabilities and guiding the client on online services.
• A recognized tertiary qualification in Banking, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or Management.
• About 5-8 years' experience in Customer Service, preferably in Trade.
• Exposure to Client interaction and should have a flair for customer service intelligence.
• Good communication and interpersonal skill. Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese (Read, Write & Speak) are mandatory.
• Knowledge of guidelines governing Letters of Credit & other Trade products.
• Excellent problem solving & analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience in a related cash and trade operations management role
• Proven experience in creating and implementing processes that result in improved business performance
• Effective verbal and written communication and analytical skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
