Assistant Technician (Fire Protection System)

The role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join Began Engineering Sdn Bhd as an Assistant Technician (Fire Protection System). In this role, you will assist in the inspection, servicing, and maintenance of fire protection systems at client premises, such as factories, condominiums, and apartments across Johor Bahru, ensuring systems operate effectively and meet safety standards.

What you'll be doing

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire protection equipment, including fire extinguishers, fire alarm system, sprinkler systems and etc.

Identify and rectify any faults or defects in the fire protection systems, taking prompt action to restore full functionality.

Assist in on-site fire protection equipment and system installation and commissioning.

Support the collection, servicing, and delivery of fire extinguishers.

Maintain workshop cleanliness and equipment upkeep.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Required Language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia.

SPM/ SKM/ Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

No experience or fresh graduates are welcome to apply (training will be provided).

Must possess own transportation to Ulu Tiram HQ.

Preferably, the candidate should possess a Class D driving license (able to drive a manual car) and be willing to travel using a company car (multiple work locations within Johor Bahru).

Able to start work immediately or with short notice is preferred.
