Job summary

A leading company in textiles and apparel seeks an Assistant Store Manager for their location in The Spring, Sarawak. The ideal candidate will manage daily operations, lead a dynamic retail team, and exceed sales goals while ensuring top-notch customer service and store presentation.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 years of working experience in a related field or retail experience.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin speaking is an advantage.
  • Willing to work according to pre-planned shift hours, including weekends and public holidays.

  • Responsible for managing store operations and leading the retail team.
  • Plan and prepare monthly duty roster, manage stock, and ensure sales goals are met.

Assistant Store Manager (based in The Spring, Sarawak)

We are looking for a talented candidate to undertake:

  • Responsible and act as a leader and key person of the store.
  • Supporting Senior Store Manager in daily operation and working under their direction.
  • Responsible for managing store keys, store daily opening and closure on time.
  • Executing the Game Plan set by Senior Store Manager, by setting up hourly and daily sales goals.
  • Recruit retail team associates as and when required.
  • Provide orientation for new retail employee.
  • Providing product training and customer service standard in store regularly.
  • Ensure housekeeping is completed every day.
  • Ensure cash float, sales collection and monetary related amount are calculated accurately, stored carefully and bank in accordingly.
  • Working closely with Senior Store Manager on store operations, manpower issue and provide improvement solutions and constructive feedback.
  • Ensure store appearance is clean, presentable and all merchandise display follow Visual Merchandising guidelines.
  • Monitoring stock movement and merchandise level in storeroom.
  • Plan and prepare monthly duty roster of retail team associates under payroll cost and ensure attendances are met.
  • Accountable for Loss Prevention & Security including CCTV, inventory and spot checking.
  • Prepare relative reports to Senior Store Manager monthly.
  • Perform stock take activity for stores and responsible for stock loss occurred in store.
  • Assist team with any other projects on an as needed basis.
  • Perform any ad-hoc actions assigned by the Management.
  • Be resourceful in capturing sales opportunities.
  • Ensure retail team members follow SOP as per Management and Retail Operations Department.
